Warranty Policy

This policy applies to all purchases made through The Laundry Edit (“we”, “us”, “our”). It is designed to be compliant with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the ACL.
Manufacturer & Store Warranty
In addition to your rights under the ACL, most products sold by The Laundry Edit include a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, unless otherwise stated on the product listing.
This warranty covers products that are faulty or damaged due to manufacturing defects.
Warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or abnormal use

Improper assembly, modification, or installation

Lack of proper care or maintenance
-
Damage caused during use contrary to product instructions

Cosmetic damage to external packaging only

Accessories or bonus items supplied free of charge (unless required under ACL)
Each warranty claim is assessed case by case.
Warranty Remedies
Depending on the issue and subject to availability, we may offer:

Replacement parts

Guidance for self-repair

A replacement product

An alternative product

A partial or full refund
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, please email support@thelaundryedit.au and include:

Your order number
-
A description of the fault or issue

Clear photos or videos showing:
-
The fault or damage
-
Missing parts (if applicable)
-
The product in original packaging (if applicable)
-

What outcome you are requesting (replacement, refund, or parts)
Images and videos must be clear and of reasonable quality so the issue can be properly assessed.
⚠️ Do not dispose of the item before your claim is finalised. We may require inspection or return of the product. If an item is disposed of before assessment, we may be unable to offer a remedy (subject to ACL).
Returns for Faulty or Damaged Items
If a return is required, we will provide instructions and, where applicable, a return label.

Do not return items without prior approval

If no fault is found upon inspection, return shipping costs may not be refunded
Refunds (where applicable) are issued to the original payment method only.
Missing Parts
If your item arrives missing parts:

Contact us within 7 days of delivery

Once validated, replacement parts will be dispatched as soon as available

If parts are unavailable within a reasonable time, an alternative remedy will be offered in line with ACL obligations
Delivery Issues
Delivery delays or lost items must be reported within 10 business days of dispatch confirmation.
We will investigate with the courier and provide a suitable remedy if required.
Please note that delivery timeframes may be impacted by events outside our control (e.g. natural disasters).
Change of Mind Returns
We offer change of mind returns within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

The item is unused and in original condition

Original packaging is intact and unopened

The request is submitted within 14 days of delivery
Change of mind returns are not accepted for:

Health & hygiene products
-
Bulk or pallet purchases
-
Opened or used items
All items returned due to incorrect or incomplete delivery details, unclaimed parcels, or return to sender will be treated as change of mind returns.
Change of Mind Return Process
Before returning an item:

Provide photos/videos showing the item’s condition

Await approval and return instructions
Returns sent without approval will not be refunded.
Approved change of mind refunds:

Refunded amount = item price + original shipping

Return shipping (if applicable)

10% restocking fee

Refunds for Return to Sender items are processed once the item is received back to the warehouse.
Incorrect or Returned Items

Items returned due to incorrect delivery details may incur re-delivery costs

Incorrect items returned are not guaranteed to be recovered
Product Recalls
In the event of a product recall, we will contact affected customers with instructions and remedies in line with regulatory requirements.
